Band's Influences
As an artist, I find myself influenced by all that is around me. I am as influenced musically by an incredible book, movie, or painting as I am by a new CD or seeing other musician's live. Musical genre's do not limit either my listening or playing taste, and I am always looking for new musical challenges. Anything else is creative death.
My goal as an artist is to, at a minimum, make a living through my music, and at the most, live well. Living well for me is easily defined as good food, good friends, my beautiful wife and daughter, great musical jams, and always writing, always recording.

The Pat Zelenka Project is a rock band hailing from Lansing Michigan. Featuring Pat Zelenka on guitar and vocals, Steve Chapko on drums and vocals, Rich Bates on the bass, and Scott Reed on keyboards and vocals, they are a band that are influenced by tons of classic blues and rock acts such as Cream, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Rush, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, Hendrix, and The Beatles.
Songs by the band are featured on over thirty internet radio stations domestically and internationally, as well as enjoying steady online sales from such sites as I-Tunes, Rhapsody, and Napster, as well as podcasts and FM radio play in Michigan as well as countries as diverse as Australia and Germany.
The Pat Zelenka Project continues to rehearse and perform all over the quad-state area, both to promote their 2 CD's, "Radiosoul" and "Better Days", but also to entertain with a set list of over 60 classic rock cover tunes, along with a few new rock covers. With performances scheduled throughout the Midwest into the new year, the future is looking bright for this potent four piece band.
The Pat Zelenka Project brings a full PA set up to your bar/venue, as well as our own lights.
